Investment
Investment happens where funds or capital assets are put at risk in a commercial sense for profit or loss.
The investment must have already taken place, or there must exist a present commitment to invest, in an enterprise
close to the start of its operations.
Substantial Investment
There is no minimum investment to qualify. The application will be assessed based on a proportionality test.
The amount invested will be weighed against the total value of the current enterprise, or against the total
amount needed to establish the new enterprise. Only quantities already committed will be counted. The investment
cannot be considered substantial if the expected return on investment is only enough income to support the applicant
and family.
